London to Brighton
11th May & 7th September 2008
Starts at Coulsdon South train station at 10.10am. Meet at London Victoria Station for the 09.34am train to Coulsdon South.
Our first ride this year is our classic, London to Brighton ride. An alternative route to the British Heart Foundation London to Brighton ride that takes place in June. We will be cycling on quiet roads that take us through the beautiful countryside of Surrey and Sussex. People will have the option of finishing at Hayword Heath.
Distance to Brighton is 55 miles, distance to Hayword Heath is 35 miles.
Please email / telephone to register your interest for a particular ride and indicate whether you will be on your own or bringing any friends.
Start times for all our day rides are at 9 am. The rides usually last for up to 5 hours, taking in a pub lunch or picnic on the way.
A £15 charge will be made for this ride; for this Red Spokes will provide lunch a guided ride (normally 2 guides, with first aid), a map of the ride and a bike mechanic. You will, of course, have the opportunity to meet fellow cyclists, with a good mixture of people who are considering their first Red Spokes tour, those who have been on one or more Red Spokes tours before and those who simply fancy joining fellow cyclists for a social ride.
