Guides

We are looking for people who enjoy adventure travel and who have excellent inter - personnel skills. This would be for one or several tours a year. We don’t have any full time posts going.

Red Spokes receives lots of requests from people wanting to become guides. Because of this, preference is usually given to applicants who are over 30 years old, with a least 3 of the following skills.

1. Have already had some experience guiding
2. Been to altitude of over 4,500 metres
3. Got a relevant first aid course
4. Good communication skills
5. Strong cyclist
6. Bike maintenance skills
7. Well travelled

We are also looking for a part time administrator who is based in North London. It would be 16 hours a week flexible working.

Who can give a practical and inspirational overview of a country, to help potential customers decide the basic outline of their trip.

Other

We would love to hear from you if you know a “special guide” who has specialist knowledge on a tour that you feel is special. Countries that interest us are Venezuela, Cuba, Colombia, Iran, Ethiopia and Malawi.
