Discover Scotland
The Remote Highlands

North West Scotland is one of the last great scenic cycling secrets in Europe; a vast wilderness of extraordinary mountains set in ancient rock and moorland. On our Scotland cycling holiday you will explore narrow roads winding through beautiful heather clad hills, high sea cliffs and waterfalls.

The 7 day itinerary begins in Inverness. From here we ride away from the city enjoying wooded rugged scenery  towards west coast Achultibuie through a landscape which becomes more spectaular with every locomotion of the wheel. Traditional life continues in the crofting and fishing villages that lie along the shores of the sea lochs. The view over the sea to the Summer Isles is the perfect reward to end your first day's cycling. We then cycle north through the rich farmland of the Black Isle to precipitous sea cliffs at Cape Wrath. You will marvel at the sheer magnificence of the atlantic scenery. redspokes' Scottish adventure continues to the small coastal town of Lochinver and over the majestic mountains of Wester Ross. Our cycling ends when we reach Ardgay, with a train ride back to Inverness. We arrive in Inverness around 1pm with plenty of time to catch an afternoon flight or train.

Beaches, mountain passes, green valleys, lochs and fast flowing rivers. Scotland has them all and what better way to see them than from the saddle of a bike?
