London to Brighton
The redspokes London to Brighton day ride follows quiet roads and country lanes through spectacular Sussex and Surrey countryside, with off-road sections and fun cycling challenges.
The ride begins at Coulsden South, from here we cycle to Horstead Keynes via Bletchingly taking some bridleways and tracks. We break for lunch before heading on to the South Downs chalk hill Ditchling Beacon following a lovely uphill route through open grassland. This is the highest point in East Sussex. Over the peak we continue on to arrive at the Palace Pier in Brighton at around 3pm where we will enjoy a celebratory drink on the sea front before heading back home.
Our supported London to Brighton day ride includes maps, cycle guides, bike mechanic, lunch and refreshments and unparalleled cycling camaraderie. You will, of course, have the opportunity to meet fellow cyclists, with mixture of people who are considering their first redspokes tour, those who have already been on one or more redspokes tours and others who simply fancy joining fellow cyclists for a social ride. 25 % off road: mountain or hybrid bike with slick tyres recommended.
The start time for all our day rides is 9 am and the day usually ends around 4pm, taking in a pub lunch or picnic on the way.
There is a charge of £25 for the ride
